Supported successful application for a Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration’s i6 Challenge grant, which resulted in a $750,000 award, paired with local matching funds for a combined total of $1.5 million.
Introduced Arch Grant leadership to key decision-makers at the Department of Commerce, including program staff at EDA.
Advised leadership team on process related to applying for Federal grants and assisted with implementation of winning strategy resulting in a successful application.
Secured a total of $35 million in grants.
Secured an additional $7.5 million included for the Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) program, Section 27 Regional Innovation Strategies Grant program, totaling $35 million.
The President’s Fiscal Year 2020 budget called for the program to be eliminated, but Congressional champions saved the program and increased funding.
Leveraged relationships with Senate Appropriations staff to ensure increase to program in appropriations language in the Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act earlier in 2019.
