State of Trade Briefing with Christian Whiton

America’s trade relationship with the world has changed drastically in recent years, and more change is on the horizon. The coronavirus pandemic has sharply reduced trade even further with China. Congress is considering a number of bills that would move parts of America’s supply chain out of China. While both Washington and Beijing remain publicly committed to the Phase One trade deal, many analysts think it could fail. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is tightening export controls on sensitive technologies like semiconductors.

Christian Whiton, a Senior Vice President at Banner Public Affairs, will break down recent developments in trade policy and practice and outline scenarios for the future of U.S. trade relations that will look very different than the past.
