Congressional to-do 2020
There is a lot of work left to be done on Capitol Hill in 2020. During a typical Presidential election year, the focus would be shifting to the campaign trail. However, this year, Congress – faced with a long list of must-pass bills – is embarking on an ambitious schedule prior to the August recess. Banner expects this will extend into a highly productive session after the election in November and December. While record COVID-19 economic stimulus packages have been passed, there is growing consensus another major stimulus bill is needed to help the nation to continue to recover that is likely to become a wide-ranging, “catch–all” bill and many other important deadlines loom.
