With decades of experience in energy and technology external affairs, PR and journalism, Mark brings tremendous expertise to support successful advocacy and communications campaigns for Banner’s clients. He provides leadership in crisis communications, media relations and overall PR strategy.  

Prior to joining Banner, Mark launched EVC Insights in 2018 to facilitate advocacy, stakeholder relationships, and policy planning and messaging for clients all along the energy value chain. Mark has worked with numerous energy companies, previously leading policy coordination and advocacy for BP’s North American Energy Marketing & Trading businesses, and Faraday Grid, a UK-based electricity grid modernization firm.  While at BP, he was a key part of the Deepwater Horizon crisis response team, as well. He also represented corporate energy members at the Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA), the Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA), and the American Gas Association (AGA). Mark began his career as a TV journalist and spent several years as a reporter/editor with United Press International (UPI).

Currently, Mark serves on the Board of Directors of the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) and was previously a member of the NGSA Business Leadership Committee and API Natural Gas Markets Subcommittee. He supports clients from Banner’s Washington, D.C.
