Brings Expertise as Former Aide to California Senator Barbara Boxer and Governor Jerry Brown

Washington, D.C. – Banner Public Affairs is thrilled to announce that political powerhouse and former Democratic aide Kish Rajan is becoming a Senior Advisor based out of California. Expanding Banner’s bipartisan approach, Rajan’s strong skills in building strategic relationships and fostering business development make him a valuable member of the team.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience in the government relations and public affairs fields, Rajan worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer and served as a campaign aide to California State Treasurer Phil Angelides. In 2012, he was appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown to lead the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development.

“With extensive expertise in both the public and private sectors, Kish Rajan is the perfect addition to Banner Public Affairs,”  said Sen. Jim Talent, one of the firm’s partners. “His vast experience working with key Democrats in Washington, DC and California will make him a strong asset to advance Banner’s bipartisan efforts.”

“I am honored to join Banner Public Affairs and further extend their bipartisan outreach,” said Rajan. “With the new Biden administration underway and the new makeup of the House and Senate, there are numerous legislative and public affairs opportunities in the year ahead.”
